For the Week of March 1:

This coming week we will be running two E2E test cycles for firms that want to test the new SLEDS end-of-day one-to-many and many-to-many match process (Equals Cleared).  A small test script has been published on the CME FTP site.  Firms have the choice of entering the trades in this script themselves or having the CME inject their trades for them.  Testing will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, March 1st and Wednesday, March 3rd.  We will produce trade register data files, trade register reports and firm out-trade reports for each test date.

Firms can access the CME Front End Clearing application for SLEDS E2E testing by using the Front End Clearing – E2E link under the Firms Quality Assurance Environment section of the CME Portal.

Firms who wish to participate in this testing effort must call Client Management at 930-8159.

Testing Schedule

Cycle 1 and 2 testing will run on a Monday and Wednesday schedule, using the following dates:

Monday, March 1st =  Trade Date March 1st for Cycle 1
• Wednesday, March 3rd = Trade Date March 3rd for Cycle 2

Start of Day Positions

For next Monday’s test, start of day positions will be flat. However, we will roll positions forward from Cycle 1 to Cycle 2.

Pit SLEDS Trades

A limited script for pit SLEDS trades will be available for Cycles 1 and 2. The script will contain pit SLEDS trades that should be submitted to CME or if firms wish can be injected on their behalf.

• Firms may use either their "buddy" firm as the opposite firm, if their buddy firm has agreed to submit the opposite trades into them, or they may use their own firm # as the opposite firm and we will enter the other side of these trades to create the necessary end of day Equals Cleared scenarios.

• Note: We will not be using the “flip firm” for this test.  The purpose of this test is to create one-to-many and many-to-many out trade scenarios that will be matched by the new end of day Equals Cleared process.

There will be no e-CBOT, Handheld or Order Routing/Electronic Clerk trades provided during this testing effort.

Firms are also not required to submit PCS for this testing endeavor.

Script Locations

As with CCL E2E testing, all scripts are located at:

ftp.cme.com/pub/span/data/cme/test/scripts

The pit trade scripts are provided separately for "A" firms and "B" firms, and both in Excel and PDF format, as:

SLEDSPitScript_Cycle1_2_AFirm.xls
SLEDSPitScript_Cycle1_2_AFirm.pdf
SLEDSPitScript_Cycle1_2_BFirm.xls

The listing of trading firms, their designation as "A" and "B" firms, and the assignment of "buddy" firms is provided as: TMFShortReport.mht, and has not changed from the version provided during CCL E2E testing.
